Bitter Sweet-Synopsis
Angela Lemose for the first time in her life gets “dead” drunk. Why would this level headed girl step so out of character? She found out that her boyfriend has been romping around with another woman.

She collapses into a taxi, and that is when her life takes a horror turn. Angela is kidnapped by the Taxi Driver and taken to his flat where she is repeatedly raped whilst “out cold” from the effects of the alcohol, all arranged by this deranged Taxi Driver who has taken this chance to get some of his own personal debts paid off “in kind.”

Angela’s misery is now transformed into revenge when she finds that the authorities are helpless in giving assistance because of personal privacy laws. She now takes matters into her own hands, seeking to get even for the horrors she has experienced.

This is one woman’s story of justice done her way.

Late Breaking News-8th January, 2008

Hello and welcome to our homepage.

1. New DVD Sampler available

Yes, a new DVD is available. It is a sampler of the scenes from this movie and some other items. If you would like a copy, please give me all your details by using the Production-All Phases e-mail, and I will make arrangements to send it off to you.

2. Final Cut Pro "Unable to connect to background process," fixed!

I have been in the midst of a very annoying problem with my design tools of late and I can now say that the problem I was having is now solved.

This is the situation that existed. I upgraded to Final Cut Pro 4 some time back and I was able to get all the updates from the Apple site, of which there were many. I resisted in upgrading to FC Studio because it meant that I probably needed to get a faster machine as well. So I just wanted to fully learn this package, warts and all so to speak before upgrading.

Then I managed to get a copy of DVD Studio Pro from e-bay and I thought to myself "now I all set for fun and games."

Well it didn't take long before a major wart come to the surface!

As you know, if you use FCP 4 and above, Apple introduced a new method of speeding up the workflow, especially for users to make DVDs-it couldn't be any simpler.

One would finish their projects in FCP and instead of outputting their sequences as Quicktime movies, one used a program called Compressor, which could output one's sequences in many different formats. One format which was very needed was MPEG2, which is used by DVD Studio Pro to assemble DVDs. So now all one has to do in DVD SP is to just design the menus and add the video and audio files from the result of Compressor's actions. WOW!

Well my fellow enthusiasts out there, that was the theory. Now for the practice. After going through all the necessary steps of assembling your sequences in FCP and then placing them in Compressor and then pressing the "submit," button, one would get a dreaded error message like so: "Unable to connect to background process." So that meant that the workflow stopped right there and then.

So after trying this little song and dance routine a few time, one is apt to get a little annoyed. Then one realises that there must be something wrong with the software. So you go through all the steps of reinstalling all of your software, trying to get the result of correctly transcoded files, but to no avail. After doing this many times you conclude that this Apple stuff is just for smucks. But having to use windoze, Ug!

So I then went to Apple's web site and found an article in their support forum and used the information to fix my problem. Well after many more attempts I care to remember, the problem still persisted. Surely someone at Apple should have seen the problem and then worked out the proper solution.

No, that is not the case. I scoured the internet for a FCP forum that would give me that pearl of knowledge which would save my bacon. I managed to wade through many posts in a site called: "2-Pop forums." The site's address is here: http://www.2-popforums.com/forums/

One post was very interesting: "Qmaster the dark art," so I followed it up and it led me to another site. I am always interested in this black magic stuff. It's address is: http://www.kashum.com/blog/1152611689.

Well I can say to you that the person who operates this site certainly is a magician, because he has been the only one to fully document and debug this annoying problem.

Richard certainly deserves all the bouquets coming his way and as much as Apple puts out insanely great products, they deserve brickbats on this one. Surely with all their brains to burn, someone there could have figured it out, given us a nice solution and not let all of us suffer all this heartburn!

So now I can get on with learning and putting into practice what I really want with my creative hat on.

3. Site to be upgraded

I have to admit that this site is not professional. But then again I never said that I was in the business of designing web sites for a living. However that is no excuse in aspiring to be professional.

When I first placed this site on the internet, the files were created on 23/4/1998 using GoLive CyberStudio version 2.0.3. The homepage's subject was regarding Macintosh computer games. Then in June 2001 I modified the site to include a major project I had been undertaking–the production of a feature length digital movie. At that time I had the sole idea of just doing one thing–advertising my movie and the games were secondary. As you know things don't stand still and especially on the internet.

For the past few years I have been upgrading my skillset and I now am capable of many more things that just making movies as an independent filmmaker. So everytime I visited someone else's web site, I have to admit that I became a little envious. So the conclusion was obvious. Upgrade my website!

Hence I wish to advertise that fact here. I have been putting some thought into that endeavour and in addition I have been pouring over some of my old books that I really did not pay a lot of attention to before. In addition much new knowledge has been gained by our netizens which is reflected in the latest batch of web design books. So I too wish to leverage from their work and provide you with a better service when you visit my site.

I will give you some information regarding what is to come. I am in the process of writing two books: one has to do with art for well-being, ability and creativity, the other is editing digital video, sound and music using Final Cut Pro; I wish to put up some pics of murals that I took around Sydney; I wish to advertise my movie; I want to promote a new seminar regarding using the book on art for improving well-being, ability and creativity and perhaps incorporate a weblog as well.

So you can see that I am kept busy doing all these things. But that is what living is all about isn't it?

In the meantime keep advancing your knowledge and do well. See you down the wire soon with a newly designed website.

Felix Macri
